Organizational Development Grants are made to members who need funding for specific expenses relating to increasing the organizational strength and stability of emerging arts organizations.
A major reason that so many young arts organizations fizzle out is that budget limitations prohibit them from prioritizing their own organizational stability. Grants in this category address that by targeting expenses that are not related to any particular project but will enhance the stability and lifespan of a young arts organization.
Examples of funded expenses might include: incorporation fees, accounting expenses, and the like. Priority will be given to emerging arts organizations who demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to their own organizational independence and continuity.
Grants in this category range in size between $250 and $1000.
